Zoë Avstreih is a Licensed
Professional Counselor, a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, and a
National Certified Counselor. She is also a licensed psychoanalyst and licensed
creative arts therapist in New York State. She was a former Co-Chair of the
Somatic Counseling Psychology Department at Naropa University and currently
serves as the Director of its Dance/Movement Therapy Program. In addition, Zoë
was the founder/director of the Center for the Study of Authentic Movement and
founder and former director of the graduate Dance/Movement Therapy Program at
Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. A pioneer in the development of
Authentic Movement, she lectures and teaches internationally and has published
widely. She is the recipient of the Outstanding Educators Award given by the 1995 Conference Committee of the American Dance Therapy Association, The Harkness Choreographer Space Grant and was nominated for the Fetzer Institute Scholar Award.

Ryan Kennedy is a Licensed
Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Registered
Nurse (RN), Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT), a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Addictions
Counselor (CACIII). He was a former Co-Chair of the Somatic Counseling Psychology
Department at Naropa University and currently serves as the Director of its
Body Psychotherapy Program. In addition, he serves as adjunct faculty at the
University of Colorado Denver, Front Range Community College, and Prescott College.
Ryan's clinical background includes extensive work with chronic and persistent
mental illness, trauma and dissociative disorders, addiction and recovery,
domestic/family violence, and living with chronic and life-threatening
illnesses. He has completed specialized trainings in Gestalt psychotherapy,
Jungian psychotherapy, the Laban/Bartenieff system of movement observation and
analysis (LMA), and the Kestenberg Movement Profile (KMP). Ryan has been a psychotherapist since 1993 and maintains a private
psychotherapy and consultation practice in Denver, Colorado where he uses an integrated approach that draws on his expertise in trauma and addiction recovery, systems theory, human sexuality, existential psychotherapy, contemplative practice, expressive arts therapies, and body-based psychotherapy. |
